Roblox Raycast Projectile

Im trying to change the original ray projectile fired by the script into a cylinder mesh but it doesnt seem to be working correctly.

Roblox raycast projectile. My issue being that upon impact theres a brief but noticeable delay of around about 1 2 seconds before. Just so you know im not the most experienced of scripters. Projectile made default owner is nearest player your script then sets it to nil server gets confused and there is a jitter as it transfers ownership to nobody. Been working on a wand for some time now and having issues finding any solution to the projectile delay.
